Announcements ![]() ARBOR AND EARTH DAY CELEBRATION AT DMSDelsea Middle School students attended an Arbor Day/Earth Day Tree Planting Ceremony in the Courtyard at Delsea Middle School on April 25, 2013.
During this nationally celebrated event, students were able to learn about the history of these celebrations, importance of trees, recycling, and energy conservation. Atlantic City Electric representative, Bert Lopez, took part in the ceremony and donated Black Tupelo saplings; one for each of our students. The generosity afforded to DMS from Atlantic City Electric is greatly appreciated! Our students were truly excited to hear such an announcement, with regard to their receiving a sapling, made during the ceremony! Also, Dougherty Gardens donated a Red Bud Tree, which was planted in the courtyard during today's ceremony. Both presentations were successful and many positive comments have been received from students and staff members who were in attendance. I look forward to being able to bring similar experiences to our campus in the future, for our students reap numerous benefits!
